The Oldham Education Awards is a unique award ceremony organised by One Community UK and is designed to celebrate the academic achievements of students in the Oldham Metropolitan Borough. Each year, students are nominated by their educational establishment to receive an OEA for their level of study, whether it is GCSE, A-Level, Vocational or Degree level.
The Oldham Education Awards was first held in 2012 and went by the name ‘Oldham Excellence Awards’ until it was changed in 2014. We are proud to say that the OEA has grown in popularity since its arrival and now every Secondary School and College in Oldham feature.
Students will be nominated for an OEA by the educational institute to which they belong to. Each educational institute can nominate two students, usually a male and a female, who they believe have excelled during the academic year.
Students can bring two other guests (3 in total, including nominated student) to the Awards Ceremony for free, with other tickets available for purchase.
If you are an educational institute based in Oldham and teach one of the four categories, please fill out the ‘Nomination Form’ and send it to ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’. Please note that if your educational institute teaches more than one category (i.e. GCSE and A-Level) then you can nominate 2 students for each category.
